Lodging

Tombstone Motel, (888) 455-3478, tombstonemotel.com

In Tombstone, there is quite a plethora of options as far as where to sleep. There are a couple of national chain hotels in town, the Holiday Inn Express and the Best Western Lookout Lodge, and there are a few smaller motels, and several bed and breakfast type establishments to choose from.

I have never had the occasion to sleep at any of the bed and breakfast places, such as the Buford House B&B (520) 457-3969, Crazy Annie's B&B (520) 457-3847, Legends B&B (520) 457-3858, The Wild Rose Inn (866) 457-3844, Silver Nugget B&B (520) 457-9223, or the Tombstone Boarding House, B&B Inn (877) 225-1319. Most of these places I've seen and thought they were all really nice.

I have stayed at both hotels listed above, and all the motels in town. Here is a quick breakdown of the hotels and motels, as published by the Tombstone Office of Tourism.

Camping (RV's)

For anyone that may be interested in camping in Tombstone, I've decided to include a listing of RV parks and campgrounds in and around town.

Of the four listings, I have only stayed at the former KOA, which is now the Tombstone Hills RV Park & Resort, (520) 457-3829. It was nice. I haven't done any camping in or around Tombstone since then, which was about 1994.

The other three are as follows: Stampede R.V. Park, (520) 457-3738; Tombstone Territories R.V. Park, which is on Highway 82 to Sierra Vista and Nogales, (877) 316-6714; and Wells Fargo R.V. Park, (520) 457-3966. All of these places are designed for recreational vehicles.

NOTE: No camping or overnight parking is allowed in any of the town's many parking lots.
