About the Webmaster

This is my work area. Welcome to my world! Photo by webmaster, 2005.

Hi there! My name is Kelly. I was born on October 9, 1973, in Scottsdale, AZ. Since then, I haven't done much. I went to school, graduated ... that's about it. I've had quite a few different jobs over the years, but I've not yet found one that really makes me happy and excited to go to work. I'm guessing I probably never will!

Currently, I am the terminal manager of a small Phoenix, AZ-based trucking company in Tucson, AZ. While that tends to keep me busy, it isn't as exciting as Tombstone. Therefore, on weekends, I look for something a bit more entertaining to spend my time on.

When the opportunity presents itself, I usually head down to Tombstone from my home in Benson (about 24 miles). Most of the time, I arrive on Saturday afternoon or evening, get a room, and leave on Sunday afternoon. I always have a good time.

I decided with my love of the town, and the fact that I think all the Web sites I've seen that are about the town are insufficient, I should create my own site, which I obviously did. Then I had to decide how to operate it. I discovered that on the rest of the sites not all of the businesses, museums, etc., are listed.

Upon investigating this a little bit, it came to my attention that some (if not all) of the other sites are charging people to be listed on their sites. I think that's wrong! I think to have a Tombstone website, it should be complete. Hence, a new legend was born.

Tombstone's Complete Website

In the short time I've been promoting my Web site, I've been asked several times, "What's in it for you?" I've also been asked, "Why are you doing this?" The answers to both questions are very simple.

Other than the possible satisfaction of being the most popular site for Tombstone, there's nothing in this for me, other than expenses. So far, I've spent over $500 on this site and advertising it.

Why am I doing this? Because I love "The Town Too Tough to Die," and I want more visitors to go there, and I want to prepare this wonderful town's guests with information that will help them plan an unforgettable trip.

I was asked recently if I would be offended at being offered donations. No. Absolutely not. However, I won't go asking for them, either. I want every business, museum, point of interest, etc., in Tombstone to be listed on my site. I envision this Web site being the only site necessary for all pertinent information about the town.

I've been going to Tombstone since 1981, when I was 8 years old. I fell in love with the town at that time, and, right or wrong, Wyatt Earp became my hero. Since then, I've been back at least one hundred times, and I've brought nearly every friend I've had since high school to town (usually on multiple occasions).

I think Tombstone is a great place to learn about our western history and have a great time. I know over the years I've learned a lot, and I've had many, many good times and met a lot of really great people.
